What’s your favorite memory from the program?

My favorite memory is spending time with all the other trainees. Since I stayed in the residence hall with them, we would go downtown to Iowa City most nights of the week and go out and eat together.

What are you doing now, and does it have any relation to your work in the program?

I’m essentially continuing my project from during the summer program. My project used to be a theoretical project, preparing for the FLASH linear accelerator to arrive. And now that it's here, I'm making modifications to the devices that I created during the program.

How are you hoping to use this experience in the future?

After going to this program, I’ve developed a lot of interest in oncology and radiation oncology. So, I hope to be involved in research as a physician in the future to improve outcomes of cancer patients.
